Artist's Description

Streets of Italy - Guardiagrele by Andrea Mazzocchetti

Guardiagrele is an Italian town of 9,092 inhabitants in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo. It is home to the Majella National Park and is part of the mountain community of Maielletta.
the territory of Guardiagrele was inhabited since the protohistoric, as shown by some archaeological finds. It was later inhabited by Italics and Romans.
What we see today is an ancient medieval town, full of small alleys and narrow streets that intersect the main street, Via Roma. It is a small town of great charm and history, passed over the centuries under the control of many different Italian Lordships.
