Artist's Description

Streets Of Italy - Guardiagrele by Andrea Mazzocchetti

The church of Santa Maria del Carmine. The look of the building is the result of radical restructuring measures operated in the early twentieth century, which covered the remains of Celestine monastery. It does not seem that the church has been affected by the new currents of the twentieth century, with the exception of Art Nouveau style elements in the faade decorations and prospectus in via Modesto Della Porta.
Inside there is a cycle of paintings by Fernando Palmerio, the Stories of Vergine Addolorata and St. Celestine, to the sides and ceiling of the nave.
