Description
Flamenco Dancer, 17
Flamenco is a musical and dance style with very ancient origins, typical of Andalusia, a region south of Spain, organized around the song and its poetry. Many theories revolve around the Flamenco, the main attribute its birth to the nomadic population of the Gypsies, now considered the main custodians. In the fifteenth century Andalusia was a region marked by multi-ethnicity and it was precisely this that favored the optimal conditions for the integration of the Gypsies, who adapted themselves to the local culture by mixing their language with Castilian. Flamenco is also rooted in the musical culture of the Moors and Jews, but today it is part of Spanish culture and musical tradition.
