Description
Streets of Seville - Plaza Dona Elvira by Andrea Mazzocchetti
This plaza emerged in the redevelopment that was made of the neighborhood between 1911 and 1918, directed by the municipal architect Juan Talavera and Heredia.
In the seventeenth century was in this site a famous corral of comedies. And the popular Seville legend says that here was the house of Don Gonzalo de Ulloa, father of Dona Elvira - from whom the square is named, the "Don Juan Tenorio" of Zorrilla.
The square is not very large and is included in the common classic city tours, so it is very busy during the day by numerous groups of visitors.
