Artist's Description

Streets of Seville - Calle de las Cruces by Andrea Mazzocchetti

Today we stroll through the maze of streets that is the center of Seville. We are located at Calle de las Cruces (Road of the Crosses), whose name is due originally to the crosses embedded in the wall at the beginning of the street, and which are dated to 1400 (first photo). The road at some point opens, giving the illusion of being in a real square, and many mistakenly call it Plaza de las Cruces (Square of the Crosses ), where we find an "ordeal" with three columns supporting each one a wrought iron cross.
